Sketches
In 2022, I spent 3 months in Rome. During that time, I broke my phone. I didn’t let that stop me from enjoying Italy, though! Since I couldn’t take pictures, I sat in my favorite places and sketched them.
My sketches became snapshots of presence. Imperfect and fleeting moments, but each a precious gift. I still often feel compelled to pause, look around, and jot down what I see. The ordinary clamor of life. Che bello.
